The Human Picture Initiative is working to find and share stories of inspiration through film. Our hope is to offer those who become a part of our projects, either by watching our movies or coming with us for a first person HPI experience, a chance to connect with a big world picture that resonates at the core of personal experience.
MALI: A POVERTY EXPERIENCE.
This project was commissioned by two faith based organizations: Convoy of Hope and AOG World Missions; two organizations reaching across international borders with humanitarian assistance. The purpose of this video was to give their audience an inside look into daily struggles of two rural families in the west African country of Mali, one of the poorest places on earth.

ENLACE is one of those organizations you come across from time to time and think, “Now these guys get it”. They are a faith based org and their model for community transformation is one of such effectiveness that other organizations around the world are working to adopt their process for use in their own countries. DEATH OF AN AMERICAN TOWN
A rural mining town in Oklahoma closes forever due to toxicity and cave-ins. This is another partnership with GRAFTED Films.
Our Projects
Documentary films are about the relationships between filmmakers and the subjects of their projects. We build these relationships by seeking out people and stories we connect with and also feel right about using our time and resources to invest in. People and relationships are more important to us than “the picture.” We work only where we’ve been invited and strive to honor and respect each individual we put in front of the camera.
By measuring each project against our mission, and choosing only to work on those that fulfill that mission, we are able to develop an authenticity in our organization, as well as, our relationships and partnerships to better serve the purpose of story sharing.
