THE HPI EXPERIENCE: Travel With A Purpose

The HPI team has collectively traveled, worked and/or lived in over 75 countries around the world. Each of us has a passion to share with others the learning adventure we’ve found through travel. However, it’s not just the traveling itself that gets us excited; it’s the people we meet and the relationships we discover along the way that keep us on the move. Sometimes, the best reminder that we are all connected by a common human experience is the one we find in meeting other people. So, we have created a way to keep finding those life developing moments and to bring people along with us!

The purpose: to design travel opportunities for those looking for deep, personal encounters with the culture and people of the places they visit, to leave a positive impact on those with whom we share while traveling, and to use the proceeds from all of our trips to fund our service projects at home. Pretty much a positive contribution all around! When you travel with us, expect to invest in yourself and your world community. After all, our best investment into ourselves is often the investment we make into others.

We have thoughtfully designed several options for you to connect and contribute to the Human Picture. When you join us on these trips you will learn new things, that will challenge you to new things. You will be opened in ways you haven’t known before or ways you simply need reminding of! You will find new perspective and be compelled to work toward a meaningful journey in your own circumstance and tap into the enormous possibilities of this life!

In each of our locations we offer itineraries specifically designed for families. These are customizable to fit the needs and interest of your family. So, please contact us for information on how best to create the right experience for you.

Several of us at HPI began traveling when we were young. We know first hand the learning and shaping that comes from meeting people from other cultures and seeing, up close, how life moves in other places. It is something every young person should have the opportunity to take advantage of and we offer that. We encourage them to take home what they learn and to share it with their friends and family, to express a broader world-view in action. Our hope is that what they learn and experience on these trips will shape their pursuits and how they view and interact with people throughout their lives. Nothing will impact future generations more than children who grow up, fired-up and motivated to make the world a more connected, relationship oriented community!

Your personal experience movie

Every trip is full of things you will want to remember and share upon your return home. To help you do that, we always travel with a documentarian. We collect video, photos and music from your whole trip, take spontaneous interviews about your discoveries along the way and then provide you with a personal, video documentary of your time with us. We hope you use this as a way to share your HPI experience with friends and family and also use it to remind yourself of what you found on your journey.

Whatever trip you choose, we hope you do so with an open heart and mind; ready to be challenged and changed forever.

Please note: We believe that traveling in small groups creates a more intimate atmosphere, allowing for more connected and present interactions. For this reason, availability on each experience trip is generally limited to four or five people (exceptions are possible but will be evaluated upon special request).
